Day Five

May 4th, 2011

Pouring rain this morning! But, that didn’t stop us. We visited the Supreme Court (where the guard paid us a HUGE compliment on our behavior), then the Newseum to explore the news and swimming or art topped off the day. We celebrated Nicci Ursetta and Julieta’s birthday. Another great day!

Hard to believe we go home tomorrow. We’ve had such a good trip!

Day 5

May 3rd, 2011

Today took us to see “One Destiny” at Ford’s Theater, a visit to the Ford’s Theater Museum, shopping and a delicious lunch at Tony Cheng’s Mongolian Barbecue. Then on to the National Museum of American History, National Museum Natural History and on to the National Archives. Another full day in DC! Thanks to all of you who support us!

Day Four…

May 2nd, 2011

We started the day at the US Capitol with a delicious lunch at their restaurant. Then on to the Library of Congress with its amazing reading room. From there either a Senate visit or an extended Air and Space Museum visit. Dinner at Union Station to try Indian food. YUM! Ended with a shopping spree for t-shirts and sweatshirts. To all families in Denver…we’re safe and happy!
